HORTICULTURIST - This position is responsible for undertaking horticultural activities in public areas of fossil Rim with the aim of beautification and maintenance of these areas. This will require designing, planting and maintenance of gardens, lawns, flowerbeds and planters throughout the park and will include activities such as: pruning, mulching, planting, spraying, mowing and weeding. It also requires acceptance and understanding of the important contribution that horticulture can make to conserving the environment and improving quality of life. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the hay fields, baling of the hay and maintaining fire breaks.

RECEPTION AND INFORMATION OFFICER: A key accountability in this position is performing/overseeing the applicable tasks associated with the opening of the reception office, the performance of switchboard duties and the dispensing of pertinent and correct information to guests, vendors, employees, and volunteers in a prompt  and concise manner. The dependability and punctuality of this individual therefore are essential to be successful in this role. This is not just a switchboard operator’s position but one which acts as the information center hub to the outside world for Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

RETAIL ASSOCIATE - This position is responsible for a high-impact, fast-paced, first impression directed, top-notch customer service. This will be the result of assisting guests in a way that will ensure a pleasant and comfortable time at Fossil Rim, helping guests with purchases made at retail locations, processing customer transactions in a friendly and urgent manner, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

GARDENER: This position will be responsible for performing a variety of gardening activities to beatify and maintain Fossil Rim’s gardens, lawns, and hay fields.

CAMP ASSISTANT: This position is responsible for assisting with camp activities. They help supervise the children, serve as an overnight chaperone in applicable gender bunkhouses, learn and present programs, and help with facility maintenance.  Performance of this position will comply with the mission, values, and goals of Fossil Rim and its Education Department.

BUS TOUR GUIDES: This position is responsible for driving a school bus for on-site educational tours. 

TOUR GUIDES: This position is responsible for conducting on-site educational tours. 

PAYROLL OFFICER WITH ACCOUNTING BACKGROUND: This position is responsible for the processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis, processing all entries associated with payroll, reconciliation of all payroll related accounts. Experience with Quickbooks Payroll is essential. General accounting abilities are essential.
